In today’s video, we will talk about How long should I jump rope
each day to lose weight? Well, boys and girls: 30 minutes, 5 to 6 times a week Boom!
I said it, that’s how things are. If you want to lose weight there are a
lot of other things I’ll be talking about, but that’s
our answer. It is the answer you will see the most on the channel. If you want to lose weight by jumping rope,
you need to do intense workouts for 30 minutes 5 to 6 times a week. That said, of course,
there are several different points and circumstances for
different people, so I’ll discuss those as well and break down
exactly how long you should jump depending on where you start. First of all, if you are a beginner, do not jump – I repeat – DO NOT JUMP 30 minutes a day for 5 or 6 days a week. You are probably going to injure your
ankles, feet, or shins. They are the most common injuries that we see, and once people are injured like
that, they tend to stop jumping which is a shame because if you
keep jumping rope and get to the point where you are comfortable doing it, it is an exercise incredible that will change
your life – which we have already talked about.

 

– But if you are a beginner and want to start losing weight, what I would recommend is that you do something within a
range of 3-5 minutes every other day. We talk a maximum of 3-4 times a week for 3 to 4 minutes. If you can do it for 2 or 3 weeks
without having any pain, then you can increase it to 5 to 10
minutes every other day and from there you can go up to 15 to 20
minutes every other day. Basically what I’m saying is that you need to get to the point where
Brandon and I are where I can jump every day for
30 minutes and it doesn’t hurt at all.

 

And it’s not because I’m a superhuman
who doesn’t get injured jumping, but because I gradually built my
way to being able to jump like that over the last decade so my
body is used to it. So if you are a beginner, don’t start by skipping 30 minutes daily but
do what I said. Something I want you to know – and what

you must be in a calorie deficit. We’ve talked about it in many videos:
you have to be in a calorie deficit. That means you burn more
calories than you eat, you burn more through
exercise throughout the day than from what you eat. A good way to burn a lot of calories jumping is to do it intensely and
using heavy ropes. I’m not saying you’ll lose more
weight if you don’t eat right, but using weighted ropes burns
more calories per minute. So using a weighted rope
intensely will be a way to accelerate your
results and weight loss versus doing it with a typical
speed rope which may take longer and won’t give
your upper body the same work.

about is diet I hate the word “diet”, let’s call it food. If you eat a lot and skip 1 hour daily every day, you will not lose weight. You can skip 10 hours but if you eat

the playlist here. They are in a simple way to understand. It doesn’t need to be a study session, you
just need to figure out how many calories your body needs daily, and then you need to burn a little more than that
to gradually lose weight and that’s called being in a “calorie deficit.” I want to emphasize that it doesn’t matter. how much you exercise: if you consume many
calories you will not be able to lose weight.
